We are recruiting a Maintenance Technician to work out of our Hazleton, PA.
location.
The tasks and responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician are outlined below:
Responsible for scheduling daily projects.
Direct and discuss with maintenance associates the daily projects and expectations.
Responsible to continually train or teach the associates on all aspects of the facility requirements.
Safety must be exhibited and promoted as the number one objective.
Maintain the fire systems using inspection and documentation including protectowire, extinguishers, hose bibs, signage and be prepared for an emergency response, Pump Attendant, and all fire system matters.
Monitor the ammonia system using inspection and documentation including air compressors and diesel generator.
Repair or report any other ROMARK problems to the Facility Manager to maintain ownership of the facility.
Schedule contractors and coordinate projects; to be discussed prior to the start date with the Facility Manager.
Also, inspects projects during and after completion.
Review work orders for accuracy.
Purchasing of building materials, tools, fuel, etc.
, to be approved by Facility Manager prior to purchase.
Occasionally coordinate with the Sanitation Contractor directives from the Facility Manager, General Manager Owner, etc.
Duties may include performing sanitation audits to insure accuracy, scheduling daily tasks with the sanitation contractor, observing and assisting the Facility Manager with performance reviews.
Scheduling and performing preventative maintenance projects also logging all PM's throughout the entire facility.
Expected to keep daily logs for the maintenance tasks.
Snow removal and salting designated areas, prepare for weather advisories.
Must be able to work overtime daily and on weekends as needed.
Maintenance Coordinator will make every effort to repair or resolve any issues 24/7.
Per On Call Procedures, the Maintenance Coordinator with take first call to determine who will respond, alternating if possible.
Issue will be discussed with Facility Manager if available and/or warrants a call.
Maintenance Coordinator works necessary overtime to complete projects in a timely and cost effective manner, with Facility Manager approval.
Must be able to take responsibility of the facility when the Facility Manager is not present.
Must be able to repair or resolve projects with minimum direction.
Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and cleaning the maintenance room, electrical room and engine room and keep MHE room organized.
Maintain inventory of required regularly used parts.
Assist with identifying and eliminating any security or safety issues.
Participate in special projects as required.
The skills and qualifications required for a Maintenance Technician are outlined below:
5-10 years of experience in a Facility Maintenance role with a proven track record of similar duties.
Must be experienced with electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, pneumatics and hydraulics, welding, light forklift (double pallet jack load wheels only) or machine repairs, etc.
Strong communication skills both orally and written required.
Must be able to maintain a positive, professional and pro-active attitude at all times in a fast paced and changing environment.
This includes interactions with co-workers, customers, and contractors.
Work requires significant attention to detail in safety, record keeping and logging, inspecting and testing.
Must have demonstrated ability to use a variety of computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, email and internet.
High school diploma or GED, minimum required.
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
, heights of at least 50 ft.
, repeatedly bend, grasp, push, pull and lift throughout the shift.
Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, outside and inside, throughout the year.
Work requires significant attention to detail in safety, recording, logging, inspecting, and testing.
Requires having ability to use a variety of computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and internet.
Must be able to manage a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system).
Minimum education:
High School Diploma or 2 year degree in a technical field preferred.
Physical requirement:
must be able to lift up to 75lbs occasionally and must be able to repeatedly bend, grasp, push, pull, lift, and similar throughout the day.
Must be able to work up to a 50' elevation from the ground and for extended periods of time, both inside and outside on different equipment such as aerial boom lift, scissor lift, order picker, and be able to operate all MHE (material handling equipment).
Perform other duties as assigned.
