Assistant Supervisor - Inventory

Under the direction of the Wholesale Picking Supervisor, the Assistant Wholesale Picking Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of Wholesale Picking associates picking pallet orders from approximately 3,000 picking locations while adhering to the Corporate Standard Operating Procedures (cSOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and site-specific work directives in place for the Hazleton Distribution Center.
Manages the department in the absence of the supervisor and/or manager
Prepares reports to replenish picking inventory
Coordinates transfers and sample/stability product requests
Researches discrepancies in inventory
Collects and prepares pull down requests for packers
Logs cube and weight for new items
Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance
Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and/or cGMP guidelines
Assist in coaching and developing associates, performing regular evaluations of associates through factual productivity and accuracy data together with subjective observations
Assist in disciplining and investigating operational errors to determine cause and recommends corrective action where needed
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum of 5 years in a lead or Assistant Supervisor role in a warehousing/distribution environment training and supervising order pickers who are responsible for order fulfillment in a high-velocity setting where productivity and accuracy are key components
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, as well as documented completion of additional training in productivity assessment, teambuilding and safety
Must have experience in the operation of various material handling equipment
Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
Intermediate PC skills including basic spreadsheet compilation and maintenance.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently to meet daily deadlines and objectives
Must be able to multi-task and follow-up when responses are needed
Intermediate mathematical skills
Must have physical ability to lift, stand, climb, bend, etc within a distribution environmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
